Chiropractor Portland ORThe condition of a dancer’s body will directly affect how much that dancer can express him or herself through dance.  Any dancer continuing to dance with an injury may produce beautiful art, but at a cost to his or her own body.  It is a goal of mine to help your body so that you do not have to pay for your art with pain.

Just like a pencil, a paintbrush, a musical instrument, or a chunk of moldable clay, your body is your tool that needs to be cared for, conditioned, and maintained.  Many dancers have received instruction on how to maintain and improve their levels of strength to perform.  Not every dancer has learned how to be soft with their bodies and know when to respect an injury.  I firmly believe that EVERY injury should be respected.  My goal as your chiropractor is to keep you on the dance floor- my work is designed to help you thrive.

Wildflowers Chiropractic will assess the current condition of your body.  After taking an inventory of the nature of the major and minor injuries you have sustained within your lifetime, a plan will be made to help to treat you and help you to recognize the times and motions that put you at risk for future injuries.  Specific stretches and strengthening exercises as well as home care instructions will be shared with you so that you will be able to work with your body instead of against it.  Dancing with your heart and caring for your body can help you to fly!
